THOUGHTS AFTER READING: 1 Samuel 26-30 and John 6

People are always looking for opportunities to expose the weaknesses of others. Vengeance belongs to the Lord.
Enemies pursue for various reasons- clearly sometimes even they don’t know why. I have to believe that God is always watching. I don’t have to take matters into my own hands or enlist the help of others to fight my battles. God expects me to do the right thing no matter what.

The anointing on the life of an individual has to be protected. Having the opportunity or right to act upon a situation does not mean I have to. There are times when it is best to be quiet and walk away. Since there is no armor designed for my back, how I walk away is important…There should never be a time when the enemy is pleased with me and comfortable in my company…Who am I going to for counsel? Who is eagerly offering counsel, wanting to talk to me, pray for me, lay hands on me- and why? Every person is not dispensing advice that will be for my good. I have to trust in God. There is safety and security in obeying Him and acting upon His word. I don’t have to be confused or in a panicked state if I know that he is with me. My relationship with Him has to be consistent. I have to praise Him for every victory. If there are any it’s because of Him! I can’t ever forget what He has done for me.
You make work for yourself and others when you try to manipulate a situation. Remember what is important. Choose the better place. Know what the purpose is. Leave some things alone and rest. Do what you are instructed to do. All offers of help are not designed to help- they are designed to get rid of you. Stay close to God. Hear Him. Don’t be distracted by anything! Don’t let anything or anyone come between you and God. Let others deal with their irritations and agendas. Stay connected to the source of your strength. You don’t ever have to leave the presence of God to get anything else for yourself. The Lord will make sure you have everything you need and more.
