Being pleasant and polite
to others
does not require
that you know
who they are.
When encountering other humans,
specifically those who will be
supporting or assisting you,
why not be gracious?
What does abrasiveness,
and arrogance
ever accomplish?
Who you are
or
who you think you are,
or who you've allowed others
to make you believe you are,
does not exempt you
from exercising good manners.
If you must incessantly remind others
of who or what you are,
maybe you're the one who's unsure;
misinformed;
deluded.
Neither age, status,
nor accomplishments
are passes for rude behavior.
Manners matter.
