It doesn't take much for us to sing,
And today it is no different,
We're grateful for another day, month, year
That our gracious God has given
Some say today is not the day
To celebrate and laugh
But we do it simply for the way
God works on our behalf
On the day we were born, and before
The Lord surely knew us
And at some point along the way
His lovingkindness drew us
So today, and every day
Don't forget as others do
To find the happy and the joy
In each new day God gives to you.
