Not a single ounce of snark
Not one evasive, curt remark
Not one lie meant to complicate
Not one word-war to mediate
Just truth, facts, and transparency
No arrogant hostility
(Masking lack of integrity)
No insults fashioned to distract
No bizarre statements to backtrack
Just information aptly shared
Have to admit, I sat and stared
And wondered if it was a dream--
An end to every joke and meme
That labeled pressers of the past
Abysmal jokes that shouldn't last
No, what I witnessed yesterday--
Professional in every way
Redeemed a practice left in tatters
Reminded that competence matters
And, "I don't know" 's the best reply
Until one seeks to clarify
