QUARANTINE LIFE: DEBATE

Maybe it’s wrong, unreasonable, or unfair, but I want those who lead to be better than I am. Not perfect, just better. I don’t want to feel embarrassed, disappointed or ashamed on a regular basis. Following shouldn’t bring my morals, sanity, intelligence, or integrity into question.

The debate is over. I wish stronger moderators were identified. Judge Judy comes to mind. She could cut through all of the BS, and make sure her questions were answered.

I guess I’m just fascinated by the lying skills. Straight face and all...It’s remarkable. Sorry. A soft spoken lie is still a lie.

I can just hear my dear departed Auntee Lillian telling someone, “You don’t mind lyin’, do ya?” I’m still wondering if I should shake my head or laugh at the hypocrisy of “ Stop playing politics with people’s lives.” The unmitigated gaul, considering the number of people who are sick and have died of Covid-19. There are some things you just can’t defend or casually explain away.

The deflection, condescension, mansplaining, rudeness, and failure to accept responsibility was mind boggling. Even the post debate commentary made me sure we weren’t watching the same thing.

I think I need popcorn.
