WEDNESDAY THOUGHTS

Perhaps, it’s what you do.

Maybe, it’s what you’ve always done.

It’s what you were taught.

Everybody you knew, did it too.

You assumed it was normal.

You never questioned, nor studied it.

You just went along.

How has it affected you, and those who were subjected to it?

Did it improve, stop, or change anything?

Are you better and stronger, because of it, or conflicted and broken?

Does it help or hurt?

Does it draw and encourage, or exclude and disgust?

What kind of culture does it create?

Do you still impose it upon others because it’s right, or simply because YOU had to, or were forced to do, believe, accept, or embrace it.

Have you bothered to notice the results of it?

Have you researched the mental, physical, emotional, or social damage?

Have you asked ANYONE how it affected them?

Is it effective and biblical, or manipulative and destructive?

Is it freeing or oppressive?

What kind of people does it yield?

Critical thinkers, or brainwashed followers?

Shame-filled robots, or intelligent advocates and teachers?

Stubborn parrots, steeped in error, or competent, literate representatives?

Judgmental bullies, or compassionate mentors?

Is it worth it to continue doing it? Should you, at least, give it some thought?

I imagine that the deep diving and fishing in The Sea of Forgetfulness has commenced with a vengeance. I wonder what appalled, determined divers and fishermen will retrieve, in an attempt to expose and discourage any further humiliation of the vulnerable, abuse of power, and hypocrisy?

It’s amazing how people forget that everyone who knew them when, is neither dead, suffering from amnesia, nor in a coma.

A great chance is taken when one points fingers at, justifies, or delights in embarrassing others. One must make very sure that one’s own fingernails are clean.

These Internet streets are crawling with amateur detectives whose battle cry is “Make them famous”.
