My Dad always said,
“Every so-called boss, has a boss… Remember and respect chain of command, but sometimes, people get power-hungry, and you have to go over their heads to get the information and clarity you need… Everybody can’t speak for you, or be the contact person.
You have a brain.
You have a mind of your own. Use it.
Always get a name. Take notes. Talk to who you need to talk to—and face to face is always best, if that’s possible.
People will tell you anything over the phone.
Don’t be afraid to ask questions about anything concerning you. You’ll never have to say, “So and so didn’t tell me”.
