QUARANTINE LIFE: POETRY PROMPT---INTROSPECTION

You know what you've been taught

You grow, and challenge what you think

You deeply question what you ought

And then you wait

To see if things pan out

Or if the bill of goods you bought

Will turn things you're forced to love

To things you hate

You know what you've been told

You should know, now, to test the source

Your intuition's not a joke

It's there to use

Perfect for times like these

That bring the strongest to their knees

While wrestling with the gravity

Of daily news

You know how you've been changed

And how your life has rearranged

Into an unexpected series of events

Face them, knowing full well

This, too, will pass

And time will tell

If among the things you have

Is Common Sense
