I saw the latest insurrectionists’ mug shots on Twitter.
I wonder if they all thought they’d be pardoned?
America has, and maybe has always had, a heart problem—and an unequal way of addressing inadequate education, mis-education, and madness, too.
With every report following an arrest, the world sees behind the doors of those who trashed the Capitol building like it was a Florida hotel during Spring Break.
Racism, arrogance, and misplaced anger was out of the bottle, and unashamedly showing itself that day. Then, they all went back home as if nothing had happened, bragged about how much fun they had, and thought they could go back into hiding.
The footage on the news that day, is proving to be only the half of it.
If only hearts weren’t so hard.
If only racism and ignorance weren’t so deep.
If only people could confront their bigotry, fear, ignorance, and hypocrisy, instead of working so feverishly to hide it.
If only they could take the ancestral energy they use disenfranchising, and claiming superiority to people of color, and redirect it.
If only they could stop trying to rewrite history, and finally deal with the generational and current dysfunction in their own homes.
Maybe they’d recognize the divine vengeance they’re bringing upon themselves, the disservice they’re doing to their children, and the emotional, and financial cost they incur.
It’s unfortunate that they don’t realize that wealthy politicians and talking heads are merely using them.
I get the feeling that every knock on their doors by federal agents, is a shock. Accountability usually is a shock to people who are accustomed to getting a slap on the wrist, or facing no consequences at all.
If only the wealthy politicians and talking heads could free themselves from the grip of whoever, or whatever is causing them to lie, deceive their constituents, trash their own reputations, dismantle Democracy, and trample on the oaths they took, and the tenets of their professions. It’s all fun, games, and politics now, but do they ever think about the damage and embarrassment they’re visiting upon their own families?
The low hanging fruit, who thought they had a pass, and posted their crimes on social media, are being picked up one by one, but the instigators’ turns are coming.
By now, every insurrection participant who hasn’t been arrested, should know how little they matter to those who egged them on.
Imagine how they could have invested all of the resources and energy they wasted that day.
