SATURDAY THOUGHTS: THE WORLD IS WATCHING

I’ve always found it interesting how people who do the vilest, deliberate harm to others, always try to monitor, regulate, and judge their victim’s response.
Shouldn’t the anger be equivalent to the harm done?
Why is the response called out, as opposed to the action that caused it?
Don’t start nothin’, won’t BE nothin’ should apply. But then, entitled people never think anyone has a right or the guts to push back.

Keeping one’s hands to oneself will ensure that one will not experience the worst of the fight.
There comes a time when patience runs thin; when enough is enough.
That’s what the world is seeing in the protests and fires. Despair, grief, righteous indignation, and exasperation.

I watched “Democracy Now” and BBC News on PBS.
The world is watching; pitying, shocked and baffled by America’s condition. Her reputation is tarnished; her leaders ridiculed, and disrespected. The journalists are not pulling any punches.
As in the 60’s, will America be shamed into guaranteeing liberty and justice for all, because the images broadcast are so damning and contrary to what she purports to stand for?
America has always been swift to impose democracy and humanitarian assistance all over the world, and overthrow corrupt, incompetent, oppressive, and dangerous leaders and governments.
I wonder which country is going to come and rescue us?
If only there was a body of elected servant representatives that we could call upon to put an end to the suffering and atrocities.
What is it that has secured their complicity, silence, and inaction?
