Give others the right to make decisions regarding themselves. Don't assume. Don't presume. Don't guess. Don't dance or tiptoe around the source. Go to them. Want to know what someone thinks, feels, said, or wants? Ask them. Your ideas, wishes, and plans--as admirable or well meaning as they may be, may not be enthusiastically embraced. Don't be afraid or intimidated. Don't be so consumed by the thought of the rejection of your agenda that you push it without considering how it will impact others. Knowledge is power. The truth you learn will make all the difference in how you proceed--or stop...: )
