SATURDAY THOUGHTS : POETRY PROMPT----YOUR LIVELIHOOD

Something for nothing, is over

Working for free, is too.

Boundaries, are not decorations.

Hustlers won’t mind hustling you.

Their procrastination-fueled dilemma

Is not your emergency

Don't agree to be lumped in with "everyone"

To shield their insecurity

If you don't want to do it, then, don't

Your arms have been twisted enough

You cannot be afraid of missing out

On what's proved to be frivolous stuff

Set a standard; a benchmark, and leave it

If the boundary moves, you're the one

Who gets to extend grace

Or volunteer space

Or decide how your work will be done

The knowledge of your worth, is key.

Your time is valuable.

This time, and from now on,

Handle your business.

For once, let YOUR pockets be full.
