QUARANTINE LIFE: TUESDAY THOUGHTS

People trying to stifle the laughter of others, run the risk of appearing silly and sanctimonious.

Humor is subjective. It’s personal…and sometimes, weirdly involuntary.

It’s hard to tell what makes some people laugh, and what they don’t find the least bit funny at all.

Tastes and experiences vary. I don’t care what you say, some stuff is downright hilarious—so much so, that you find yourself laughing long after a thing is over. The most remote, unrelated thing can trigger a giggle.

Sometimes, you laugh to keep from crying…and then, there are times when you laugh UNTIL you cry. It’s not about maturity, ignorance, will power, home training, self control, or insensitivity. It’s about being human.

The only emotions you can understand, control, or police are your own, and even then, you find yourself apologizing or asking for forgiveness for responding in a way even YOU never intended.

Laughter is a balm. Use it as needed. Fortunately, it’s free.
