QUARANTINE LIFE: POETRY PROMPT---BACK TO LIFE

Is it safe to go outside?

It seems like the coast is clear

It’s been like one very long night

Finally, day is here

Warnings, dangers everywhere

Too much to simply ignore

Some just move without a care

Learn lessons o’er and o’er

Time to look around

See what’s going on

Oh, how things have changed

Trouble’s past and gone

You’re not me, and I’m not you

Grace is what we ought to give

Amazing, what we’ve all been through

And we have more life to live

Going back might be their plan

Forward march, works best for me

Many gone, yet here we stand

Did we all learn anything?

We run to and fro

Pick up where we paused

Do we even know

How much pain was caused?

Time to reassess

What’s the meaning now?

Pursue happiness?

I hope we know how
