QUARANTINE LIFE: POETRY PROMPT--- STAY ENCOURAGED

In an instant, things change
For a while you’re not sure what to make of it
Do you go?
Do you stay?
Hopeful thoughts feed your heart for the sake of it

When you’re quiet and still
Every word that you hear, feeds a part of you
So you reach for the cheer
Cast aside doubt and fear that's sent to trouble you

Wisdom says it’s not new
Those who came before you, dealt with trouble, too
It’s in how they survived
Are the answers to how hope can stay alive

Try hard not to forget
If you see there’s a need, do the best you can
If you’ve learned nothing else
But for grace, you could be in the place of them

No it doesn’t make sense
And some days you may cry without knowing why
It’s no coincidence
That soon after the rain there’s a sunny sky
Just breathe deeply and know
That you’re never alone and this too, shall pass
But until that time comes
Be at peace, and believe joy will come at last
