Disparities blaring

Hypocrisy glaring

Where do I begin?

The law that was flaunted by some

Is now enforced everywhere

But no sympathy was to be found

When other's tears were shed

Interesting times we're in

Ignorance praised

Expertise hazed

Stupidity for the win

Someone actually uttered these words

"There's more to life than living"

Every city has seen a spike

In those talking more than they're giving

Interesting times we're in

Incompetence ruling

Business retooling

Truth, daily fighting the spin

Love of money is leading the charge

To sacrifice others instead

Of putting oneself in harm's way

There's no "only" when counting the dead

Interesting times we're in

Motives exposed

Everything closed

Time now to attend

To kids--you don't "watch" them, they're yours

What you started, you can resume

Excuses you raised before

Demand you sing a new tune

Interesting times we're in

Homebodies content

Extroverts lament

Introverts chill and grin

Everyone's facing the fact

That a lot can be done differently

A world back to the way things were

Isn't what everyone hopes to see
