Some things are safe to throw away. Other things, you keep.
Documentation refreshes memories, forces honesty, reveals details, quashes arguments, clears confusion, exposes deception, annihilates excuses, pinpoints times and dates, identifies key players, provides irrefutable answers to questions, silences accusations, and makes plain what was said, as opposed to what was meant.
