QUARANTINE LIFE: POETRY PROMPT---AGING

It's so funny as you get older--

The little aches and pains

The soreness and the strains

The accidental sprains

You can predict the rain

It's so funny as you get older

Stuff doesn't taste the same

What was once hip, is lame

Everyone's "What's-his-name"

You forfeit wild for tame

It's so funny as you get older

There's so much more to know

High heels give way to low

"Yes" is more rare than "No"

You'd rather stay than go

It's so funny as you get older

Time is a welcomed friend

No reason to defend

How much of it you spend

Hoping days never end
