I appreciate those who make an effort to safely bring The Arts to audiences during the pandemic.
Kudos to Louisiana’s Northwestern State University Opera Theatre Company. Their delightful virtual presentation of composer Warren Marten's comic oratorio, “The True Story of Cinderella “ was a real treat.
Tonight's performance featured Marcy McKee as The Queen, Robert Cardwell as King Olin, Dara Pressely of Tioga as Pearson, the First Stepsister, Madison Anderson of Houma as Rorex, the Second Stepsister, Lee Whitney of Houma as the First Hermit, Jordan Williams of Baton Rouge (my nephew!!!) as Merritt the Second Hermit, Landry Allen of West Monroe as Prince Adams, and Emilie Comeaux of Lafayette as the Fairy Godmother.
Art helps. Art heals.
