My Mom was right. You could buy it, but wouldn’t it be good if you can make it yourself?
I don’t remember the last time I made bread pudding, and I’m not sure what prompted me to want some today. Maybe it was finding the half loaf of wheat bread in the freezer and deciding it deserved to be more than crumbs for a future meatloaf. I’m just glad I remembered what to do, and had the ingredients. God knows I have the time.
Next time, chopped walnuts and a little vanilla.
