Don’t know how to vent their frustrations
Not sure where their rights start, and their privilege ends
Instigating silly confrontations
What’s bizarre is the people they choose to attack
Are the ones occupying front lines
Daily serving in spite of uncertainty
With the safety of others in mind
It is baffling why anyone would be against
Any effort to save life and health
From what depths of delusion originate
The desire to endanger oneself?
What is this willful ignorance—
This bravado that tries to hide fear?
How infrequently have some people heard the word “No”
What heartbreaking tale should they all hear?
Will the silliness of their ranting be known
Only when they’re lying sick in bed?
Will the futility of their protests be clear
Only when someone they love is dead?
