Seeking second, third, even fourth opinions is a good idea in non-medical matters, too. Some unfavorable reports and opinions are not based in truth or objectivity. Some have no interest in your success, while others will do everything they can to hinder it. God, however, knows a lot of people. One of the people he loves, and is more than happy to help--even in the face of opposition-- is you.
