Give thanks for the unexpected, substantive, fun (and lucrative) things, and opportunities that arise. They make up for the awkwardly planned, suddenly tentative things, to which you may have committed time, resources, or effort, that somehow fell apart, got cancelled, went in a “different direction”, or never materialized.
Discern when you and your energy have been rescued.
Monitor and temper your response to change, knowing that God sees, too, and will not leave you at a disadvantage.
