AGAIN

How many are there, and when will it end—

The vigils and marches; this heartbreaking trend

Of innocent life meeting a tragic end

Of voices hushed, never to be heard again

Condolences, sympathy, sent and given

Haven't we suffered enough?

IS the goal to frighten and tease

Wound hearts and minds

Destroy families

Make Justice elusive; excuse bigotry

Bring communities repeatedly to their knees

Bury the truth; rewrite history

Make even the simplest things, tough?
