Right now, they think that cruelty’s the way to go
Their arrogance; entitlement on full display
Desperate pleas, and anguished screams, ignored each day
They’re going to feel the wrath they seem to think is theirs
Consciences seared, they carry on—bold; unaware
Though Mercy’s great, and Grace is free, they're running low
Some just don’t care; others will swear they didn’t know
They’ll rue the day they looked away, and didn’t help
The way they stole, and set a goal to hoard the wealth
While parents cried, and soldiers died in distant lands
The way they justify the deeds of evil hands
They’re gonna know the fear, firsthand, that they instill
Like men of old, they’re gonna choke, and get their fill
And then regret how they all smirked as others starved
As they embark upon the path their madness carved
They’re gonna seek pity— play victim. How absurd!
And feign ignorance of the warnings that they heard
And claim the chaos was all for the greater good
Then take the fall, just like we always knew they would
They’re gonna wish they’d never met the scoundrels who
Are orchestrating every single thing they do
They’re gonna wish they’d not ignored History’s tales
Of how complicit cowards all miserably failed
