QUARANTINE LIFE: LESSONS IN POPCORN
You can’t always count on others to handle with care what you’ve made. In the execution of their job, they don’t consider the time and effort you’ve spent doing yours. They don’t know the value or delicacy of what’s inside, or the pride you took in creating, but you do. So, you take steps to secure it; protect it. Just in case it gets left to be exposed to the elements, it’ll be just fine.
Sometimes people have never experienced the goodness of a thing; perhaps they're not familiar with it, so they don’t consider the impact of their haste, inconsideration, or carelessness. How it's handled is no big deal. If they only knew what they was in their possession, they’d treat it like gold, and not toss it any old place just to get it out of their hands. Perhaps, if they knew, they'd take that extra second to make sure no damage is done.
Fortunately, there are those who do care; who do know; who are forward thinking. They consider every contingency to make sure a thing is protected. Because they care, they take extra steps to make what’s inside remains unaffected no matter what...
...’cause I would have been one sad sister if my favorite popcorn had been ruined. 🙂

QUARANTINE LIFE: POETRY PROMPT---THE BANDWAGON
The bandwagon you jumped on
Seems to be moving fast
You've joined the ones you can’t beat
On a trip that will not last
Your patience with the high road
Ran out, and here you are
Waving the banner of those
Who view you as subpar
The bandwagon you jumped on
Has its own strategy
You on board, are just a prop
A technicality
Your purpose serves to deceive
Your ride comes with a hitch
Don't be surprised as the wheels fly
You end up in a ditch
The bandwagon you jumped on
Proves you have lost your way
At some point, other travelers
Influenced what you say
Convincing you that who you are
And every road you've trod
Is damaged, worthless, ignorant
With no place to applaud
The bandwagon you jumped on
Has never been secure
It drives its own a scenic way
For you, there's a detour
Be careful what you leave behind
What falls off as you ride
Where this wagon will take you
Will leave you dead inside
The bandwagon you jumped on
Is coming to an end
Open your eyes; don't be surprised
When it slows down again
To test how much you hate yourself
And those who look like you;
To seek gullible stooges
As most bandwagons do
