QUARANTINE LIFE: PUBLIC SERVANTS

Look at them closely

Listen when they speak

There is a nervousness about them

As they try to project strength

But they don't believe a word they're saying

They've been bought

There's no reasoning with them now

Their eyes are vacant

On the verge of tears they dare not shed

Their script is making them unstable

They've been reduced to tools

They're flustered and afraid

Coerced to parrot nonsense

Forced to oppose wisdom

Stumbling over the words they say

Betraying their education

Shredding their integrity

Defying logic

Losing friends

Disappointing family

Who's making them behave this way?

What's behind the sickness in their souls?

Soon, one of them will crack

The masquerade is too heavy

They’ll want to be respected again

Then we'll know who's been behind it all
