QUARANTINE LIFE: FRIDAY THOUGHTS

It’s too soon, America.

It’s too soon.

This arrogance won’t last

You seldom heed your past

It’s screaming you ought not  presume

That freedom means no consequences

Or laying down defenses meant to keep you safe

Is wise in any way

It’s too bad, America.

It’s too bad

Many leaders are fools

Clueless; stubborn as mules

Letting greed direct their plans

Shunning the caution this season demands

And throwing up their privileged hands

As if they have no say

It’s too great, America.

It’s too great.

The grief we all share

Not a soul has been spared

Sending prayers and condolences

Every day a new toll, and since

No one can shown any concrete evidence

When this will go away

Be wise, America

Be wise.
