STUFF HAPPENS?

When the time is taken to really look, listen, abandon prejudice, preference, and opinions, and objectively and honestly examine people's actions and words toward others, the subsequent outrage, and retaliation they experience is easily understood, justified and even given a pass.
Too often, a reaction or response to a thing is sooooo over-the-top we forget the shady, offensive action that motivated it. The black eye you suffer may not deserve nearly as much attention or outrage as what you did or said to earn it. If you hit someone, you cannot, CAN NOT complain about how hard you were hit in return. That's a problem. Too many people think they have the right to strike, but those they harm don't have the right to be hurt or offended. They're just supposed to take the hit, assume they deserved it, forget it, or walk it off.

No. Instead of crying foul when you get a double dose of the medicine you dished out, it might be a better idea to keep your hands to yourself, think before you act or speak, or keep your mouth shut.

Sometimes, the response to ridiculous behavior makes PERFECT sense. Some things NEED to be stopped. Some responses gain understanding, sympathy and support because they put an end to things that should never have been tolerated in the first place.

It is quite easy to see when people are fed up with those who lack backbone, integrity, or the willingness to speak truth to power. Too often, those who should speak up or act; who should defend and champion the rights of others, don't. They either take their time in responding, are afraid, are bought, and are thereby rendered incapable to act at all.

People don't just wake up and decide to fight back, cry foul, or protest on a whim. Stuff doesn't just HAPPEN. Someone has DONE something, gotten away with it, and the affected individual or individuals are simply not willing to roll over, wait, or take it any longer.
It's time for some folks to stop asking "What's their problem?", and take a look at what is being done, said, or allowed that contributes to the problems people face.
